Darcy Zajac an NCAA Scholarship recipient and graduate in 2006-2010 from The University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. Graduated with Honours and a B.S in Exercise Science.
He grew up playing his minor hockey in Winnipeg. Joined the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL from 2004-2006, where he received the most Dedicated Player Award for both years. Zajac's pro career started in 2010 with the Albany Devils (the affiliate of the New Jersey Devils). In 2012 after two years of hard work, he earned himself his first NHL contract. In 2015 he left to play in Europe and had continued to play in various leagues overseas.
Darcy has spent over 15 years working with young hockey players, helping them grow and reach their full potential, on and off the ice.
As the President of the family-run Zajac Hockey Development, he believes, all kids despite skill levels should be given the tools for their own success.
When he's not running camps, he's on the ice either coaching or working with players individually, or in a small group setting, helping them reach their potential.
He knows the value of having good mentors and guidance at a young age, so he takes pride in all the players he works with.
